Because, for another half century, water and renewable energies will remain crucial issues and vital political priorities for sustainable and equitable development at international (global), regional (Mediterranean) and national (Tunisian) levels.
Tunisia, in particular, is facing structural drought as well as sustained growth in demand for water (population growth, development of irrigation, expansion of tourism, etc..
These constraints require water resources to be rationalised.
To this end, the public authorities have put in place a national strategy for the sustainable saving and management of water by 2030 and even 2050, and it is to support and accompany this policy that the IRRIMED project was born, the first Mediterranean Water, Irrigation and Energy Exhibition.
This will be the must-attend event for all water, irrigation and Energy professionals, bringing together over 3 days the equipment, techniques and services needed to meet the challenges of managing and preserving water resources and producing clean energy.
The aim of this initiative is to make the show a showcase for water, irrigation and solar energy techniques, technologies and services, so that farmers can optimise their choices when it comes to equipping their plots and promote the efficient use of irrigation water.
